Keto coffee works, but not everyone wants coffee, and some people do not do well on that much caffeine. Matcha carries less caffeine alongside L-theanine, which takes the edge off the stimulant curve rather than spiking and dropping.

The build is the same idea as a keto coffee. Ghee and MCT Oil Powder for fat, collagen for protein, and a blender to emulsify it into something genuinely creamy instead of oily.

Two g net carbs and 11 g of protein in about five minutes. The one thing to get right is water temperature, which is in the tip below.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz filtered water
  • 2 tsp organic matcha powder
  • 1 scoop Hydrolyzed Collagen Protein unflavored
  • 1 scoop MCT Oil Powder vanilla
  • 1 tbsp grass-fed ghee
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Method

  1. Boil the water, then take it off the heat and let it stand for about a minute so it drops below boiling.
  2. Put the matcha powder in a mug or bowl and add a small splash of the hot water.
  3. Whisk it into a smooth paste with a matcha whisk or a small fork, breaking up every lump before adding more liquid.
  4. Add the rest of the water and whisk again.
  5. Pour the matcha into a blender with the collagen, MCT Oil Powder, ghee, vanilla and sea salt.
  6. Blend for about 20 seconds, until frothy and fully emulsified.
  7. Pour into a mug and drink while hot.
